Tara Taylor

Vice President & Chief Operating Officer

Ms. Taylor serves as the Vice President & Chief Operating Officer for CFRC, a California nonprofit corporation and a United States Department of the Treasury certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). She oversees a $2MM operating budget and fiscal management of its $7MM loan program. With locations in Los Angeles and San Pedro, CFRC is one Los Angeles’ largest financial service providers incorporated to serve the financial needs of small businesses and under-served communities, offering loan programs, technical assistance services, asset building savings programs, homeownership services, and consumer financial management services. Ms. Taylor leads a staff of 20 professionals and manages several joint program partnerships with for-profit and non-profit corporations. A graduate of Wellesley College, Ms. Taylor’s education also includes an MA in Urban Planning from the University of California Los Angeles and a certificate from the Marshall School at University of Southern California in Real Estate Development. She has served as a consultant for the US Department of the Treasury Community Development Financial Institutions Fund and currently is a member of the Aspen Institute MicroTest Microenterprise Research and data collection project.
